About the Job
The Town of Monmouth is seeking to hire a part-time attendant at the town transfer station. Currently, summer hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm and winter hours are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am-4pm. Hours are subject to change. This is an outside job in all weather conditions to include rain, sleet, snow, extreme cold and extreme heat. Saturdays and Sundays are required.
  • The Transfer station attendant provides manual labor involving the operation of the Town’s transfer station.
  • Work involves coordinating the disposal and transfer of municipal solid waste, overseeing the recycling operation, and assisting the citizens of Monmouth and Wales in the collection of these materials.
  • There is significant public contact required with these positions.
  • Some contact will be adversarial in nature.
